Healthy Living Report: Acupuncture Facelift
Shari Hettesheimer is trying something she's never done before. "I don't mind the number of candles on my birthday cake, I just don't want to look or feel it," laughs Shari. She is blessed with a great complexion, but she still would like to smooth some of the lines that 60-years have created. "I have friends who have had the Botox injections and i hadn't convinced myself that was the way to go," said Shari. Instead -- she's trying acupuncture. "Acupuncture isn't about putting needles in the body, it's about doing something," says Jennifer Walther-Liu, acupuncturist at Tri-Health Pavilion Spa and Integrative Health and Medicine Center. Jennifer says acupuncture, often used on the body, can also help frown lines, crows feet and that tell-tale furrow between the brows. She says it also helps sagging skin, facial discoloration, even acne.
Woman Uses Fake Bomb, Hostage Story, To Rob Bank
LONGWOOD, Fla. -- A woman who told a teller that she had a bomb and that her children were being held hostage walked out of the Washington Mutual Bank in Longwood Saturday with an undisclosed amount of cash. According to Longwood Police, the woman walked into the bank on State Road 434 just after 1pm and handed the teller a note. The note said that unknown people were holding her children hostage and a bomb she had would detonate unless the bank gave her a certain amount of money. Employees in the bank complied with her demands and she exited the bank with the cash, but left behind a bag she indicated contained the bomb. Police later determined that was not the case. Witnesses said the woman left in a red Jeep Liberty drove west on 434.
Lions' Johnson to have a bigger role
He scored a fifth TD on a 32-yard end-around run. Johnson led the Lions with a 15.8-yard average per catch. Brown turned down a recent job offer to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee, where he served as assistant head coach and wide receivers coach from 1993-94. He joined the Lions in 2006. "I like it here. I think we've got a chance. We've got a chance to be very special," Brown said. "That's exciting to me." .
